Ever since Appliance Traders Limited opened on April 22nd 1968,
its main goal was to achieve a standard of
excellence in the quality of its products and
services. The company has always
emphasized customer satisfaction and
systematically built a reputation for reliability,
particularly in ‘after sales’ service.
Appliance Traders Limited is Jamaica’s leading
supplier of commercial and industrial equipment. The
company serves not only individuals who need home
appliances, but also customers in the tourism,
agricultural, industrial, commercial and food service
areas.
Over the years, the company has consistently
delivered on this goal and continues to be a leader
among Jamaican companies. The job of ensuring a
great customer experience comes through the
combined efforts of employees in nine departments.
The teams in these departments work closely
together to ensure that only the very best products
and services reach the customer.
The departments
include: service, sales, purchasing, engineering, the
tech centre, finance, commercial operations (which
includes warehousing, purchasing and logistics),
administration and information systems.
Service
The experience and excellence of the service
department at ATL is legendary. Such is the quality of
the professionals in this area that the industry knows
that once the information comes from ATL, it is accurate.
ATL provides service and spare parts for all brands sold
by the company. Factory trained technicians, supported
by 60 service vehicles respond to service calls
islandwide.
Sales
The Sales Department is a hub of activity every day,
managing a comprehensive range of products, which fall
under the following categories:
Domestic Appliances, Commercial Food Service Equipment, Room & Central Air Conditioning,
Generators, Industrial Equipment, Consumer Electronics, Commercial Laundry, Business Solutions (IT & Office Automation and Supplies) and Engineering
In addition to retail transactions, ATL’s Engineered
Systems Division consists of six (6) full time engineers,
as well as technical trades. These professionals
implement projects as a subcontractor or a direct
contractor in all industries including Hospitality (Hotels &
Restaurants), Commercial, Institutional, Municipal and the
Bauxite Industry.
To this end ATL will:

Chairman's Message
Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart
Over forty years ago, when I was practically walking door to door
selling air conditioning units, who would have imagined that the
dream would have evolved into the wonderful organisation
which we now celebrate?
I am humbled and delighted that a passion I had so long ago, has,
with the help of great teamwork, given rise to this wonderful group of
companies. I would not have believed that, in addition to our original
business, we would be running an internationally acclaimed hotel
chain, a national newspaper and a motor vehicle sales and service
business.
Our team, with a range of different skills, gifts and talents, has
worked together over the years to make these four decades a period
of constant growth and development.
I use this opportunity to thank the thousands of members of staff…
past and present at all locations and across all the brands associated
with the ATL Group.
I also wish to express my deepest gratitude to our customers, many of whom have demonstrated great
loyalty during the past forty years.
