ATL Group’s Annual Holiday Treat Sees Donation of Over 200 Toys to Children’s Homes.

Kingston, Jamaica, December 16, 2021: In the true spirit of the season of giving, the ATL Automotive and Appliance Traders Limited Group of companies combined forces to spread holiday cheer to over 200 underserved children at four homes within the Kingston & St. Andrew area. The residents of Glenhope Nursery, Jamaica National Children’s Home, Maxfield Park Children’s Home and the Salvation Army’s Nest Children’s Home were the recipients of a multitude of new toys, gifted from the ATL Group through its annual, charity initiative, held in collaboration with the Sandals Foundation.

Group Marketing Manager at ATL Automotive, Christina Taylor shared, “While we work with several organisations throughout the year on varied sponsorship and charitable executions, our annual Christmas treat is one that’s very near and dear to us. It allows us to connect with many disadvantaged youths in a way that encapsulates the spirit of the holidays.”

Taylor also described the event as meaningful, emphasising, “the visits are planned to facilitate sufficient time for us to truly engage each and every one of these children. We allot a morning or afternoon where we can sit, interact and serve them, which allows us to view first-hand the impact this simple act of kindness has on each individual child. The smiles on their faces when unwrapping their presents, the laughter felt when they excitedly explore a new toy and their genuine gratitude, not only make this activity rewarding, but very well worth the effort to execute it.”

According to the Salvation Army’s Nest Children’s Home “It was much appreciated and the children are enjoying their gifts,” shared Captains Karen and Keith Haughton at the Salvation Army Nest Children’s home.

“The children received their heart’s desires. We’re thankful to the team at ATL for bringing Christmas forward to our nation’s children,” said Assistant Manager at Glenhope Nursery, Michael Clarke.

The ATL Group’s annual Christmas Treat was hosted during the week of December 12 across four homes with children ranging from as young as two to thirty years old.
